If you are willing to use the mounting holes that the TF2 uses, there are mounts on ebay. Just search scx10 tf2 body mount.

I didn't want to drill holes in the mojave body
so I made my own front and rear mounts using velcro.

The forward velcro mount plate was made of 1/8" lexan
and I drilled and counter sunk two screw holes thru that
into the original plastic posts with the top pin-nub removed.
Then the fuzzy side of the velcro applied to the body.

Velcro again for the rear...
but I needed change the shocks to become progressive
so I would not need cut thru the bed for shock protrusion.

So I made up my own upper rear shock towers - plate(s)
from some scrap 14ga steel plate.
They bolted to holes already existing in the frame.

And then, bent a piece of 1/8" lexan at each end ( 90* )
so that it can span/mount inbetween the upper shock mounts.
Again the fuzzy velcro adheres to the body and the loop side on the plate.

Was going to make another velcro mount at the rear of the bed...
but it's my son's crawler and he's lost interest in the hobby...
so it sits collecting dust.

I am not sure what mount kit you bought. Do you have any photos of your issue? I ended up doing my own version of what taco did with the velcro mounts. Easy removal and stays put while trailing. I rolled it a lot while out on my first run and it never came off. The other thing is if you want it lower you might need to do a shock relocation or go Dinky cantilevers so you can get the bed low enough.
