C-hubs questions.

So a screw came out of the bottom of my c-hub and caused the tire to lay out and broke the top of the c-hub. I want to upgrade to aluminum ones so i can have the extra durability and i will be able to locktight the screws in to avoid this problem again. I was looking a the Vaquish 8 degree c-hubs but im not sure what it means by 8 degree. Will they work with the factory setup? Do they change the steering geometry? I just made new links and dont want to have to make a new sterring link or spend a ton of cash to make them work.
