Default Shock Oil and or Different Springs?

Hi. I'm new to the scene, just purchased an SCX10 Deadbolt. I have a good understanding of crawlers as they are very similar to 1:1 versions, and have been in the 1:1 scene for years.

A question I do have is who has experience with various replacement springs and shock oil? I don't want to dump a ton of money into shocks, but would like to see it act more an Ultra-4 rig, or trophy truck when it comes to hitting things at speed. it just seems a little stiff. My inclination is to try shock oil first, and even change out springs to softer ones (green or red). I don't intend on doing many aftermarket accessories, a winch eventually, running a 2s lipo.

Any thoughts before I begin experimenting?
