2 Speed Gear set part number AX31440

I have been talking to Axial directly for some time now about the 2 speed gear set, release date, and part number. The response from AXIAL:

"I just received some information this morning pertaining to these two
speed transmissions as I had emailed some people a little higher up than myself to find out what I could. The two speed gear set is listed as part number
AX31440 but I am unsure of what the price and availability will be. I believe
the estimated release date will be the end of september."

I will be waiting for aftermarket solutions. They will be much cheaper. Thanks for the info though!

for anyone that has the SSD 2 Speed.... what servo are you shifting with ? do i want a high torque, or high speed ?

You want a cheap analog servo. Shifting is not a high-speed *or* high-torque job.

*sigh* Still waiting for Axial to bring their 2-speed kit to market. I see the arrival date on TowerHobbies has been changed to late May now.

I can't find AX31440 on the Axial website anymore. I think this option is dead.
