Hot racing has done a durable gear for other rigs in the past so these would be promising.

The recommended trans gears for bombproof wraith and scx trans are HR

I'm running the HR AR44 brass knucklesand absolutely love them. Diff gears can be very iffy with some companies. I'm running the Deadlocs and so far so good.

Out of all the aftermarket options, I would easily feel confident in trusting Hot Racing over any others. Their trans gears have never let me down on 4s brushless so the AR44 gears should be great.

I have these in my class 2 rig and have not had a issue with them. I also run there trans gears also and no problems with them either.

Not crazy about some of their other items but the gears are great. I've run HR gears in my XR10 my Wraith and at least 2 of my original SCX10's. Never broken one. I will own a set of these. I now own 2 SCX10 ii rigs. The stock ones will eventually fail. Good to know there is a reliable set available that hopefully wont cost me an arm and a leg.

Ya I never used the og gears in my axles but I've ran the trans gears plenty of times with no issues so I figured these were prob the best out for a back up

I put the xtra speed axles in my 10.2 with about 100 hours of use on the stockers. The stock gears literally looked new. I was shocked to see little break in marking on the gears.

I am; however, a little concerned about the transmission. It started clicking. Sounds like a small pebble in a plastic spur gear, but it's not. I went ahead and did a pulling contest with it and won. I took down a wrath that was killing everyone. Trans held solid. I figure I will wait till she splodes to fix it.

Could have a bearing shield floating around or a flat spot on the bearing

That a very plausible scenario. Thanks for the idea

Looks like they also have a new locker for the 10.2. I like their steel locker for the 10.1, but not the aluminum one that clamps.
