| Got my teeth knocked out!
Hi all. I am reaching out to get some advice on my newly built SCX10 II kit (specs below). I finished the build last week and finally got my electronics installed on Friday. I also finished the body on Friday - nothing fancy just camo on black - I'm pretty uncreative. Anyhow, took it out for a bit in my back yard on Saturday. Obviosly nothing too crazy. Got a couple of hills - 3 rock stairs that go up into my yard. Just trying to be a little more familiar with how this thing does. I left it alone on Sunday, but today after work I figured I'd putt around a little out back again. This time I heard a *click*, then *click* *click* *click* Dafuq? Drove it back to where I was sitting, and lifted it up - under throttle, that familiar click that I had been hearing. Damn. I was hoping that it was something as simple as a driveshaft screw coming loose, but nope - not my luck. Pulled the rig into the house and started digging into it. Long story short, the gears in the transfer case started self destructing (pix below). Pretty frustrating, as there's not even an hour on this thing yet. BUT I can't say that I'm not the problem. Maybe I jacked something up when assembling it. :shrugs: Anyhow I'm looking to find out if someone can recommend hardened gears for this rig. I am thinkin that I should do both the tranny and the transfer case, since it's apart already. I see that SSD has a set on Amazon (my preferred method of buying ish) and Locked Up RC also has a set that are helical. Are there any other preferred replacements? Thanks for taking the time to read thru. Here are pix of the gears and a shot of my rig after I got it plumbed up on Friday. That's weird, I would email axial. Seems like to me one of them was defective and took the others out with it. Now it makes me want to take mine apart and look.

I don't think it was you, just the sintered gears.

Played hard on My SCX10 II kit with 3S Lipo, seemed all gears still intact with zero issue. I would suggest you call up axial for warranty? But of cause HD gears would be a nice upgrade.
