Re: ''Cherokee To Chuggy'',a AMW built SCX10 2 A pillars, roof x, C pillars, door bars, and rear bars added. I cut some thin steel and tacked it to the boat-sides to hold my electronics and battery. I also made a brace for the panhard bar bracket. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4821/...eb56354a_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4896/...6ab39614_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4848/...59d328a0_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4818/...43758922_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4821/...0f0b65fa_o.jpg |
Re: ''Cherokee To Chuggy'',a AMW built SCX10 2 More tube added to the rear frame. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4906/...ca1da902_o.jpg Pictures of it together! I added v tubes to all four shock corners and made panels out of an old white shed that got blown over in a storm and lightly ground the panels to give it a rustic look. I welded steel nuts to the chassis to mount the panels. The first time to drive the Chuggy was awesome "thumbsup" nothing like driving a chassis you personally made. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4880/...d41ded7e_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4816/...c7893705_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4820/...ca1da902_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4841/...bfdd854f_o.jpg |

Re: ''Cherokee To Chuggy'',a AMW built SCX10 2 About that Roof Line  So after a couple weeks of driving the Chuggy I wasn't thrilled with the roof line so I decided to cut the whole roof off and took it for a spin. The new roof I wanted to be lower and more angle. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4899/...02875ea6_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4899/...b53a4712_o.jpg Video Of Me Driving The Chuggy With No Roof. <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ma2gIgHbBzg" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0"></iframe> https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4852/...2cd7275d_o.jpg |

Re: ''Cherokee To Chuggy'',a AMW built SCX10 2 So this whole time the chuggy has been using the stock links front and rear. I have been rotating the links to keep them somewhat straight, but the rear has gotten really bad. I tried to straighten the rear links as good as i could and kept on driving. Link upgrades soon... https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4873/...ac6b6050_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4833/...839090a1_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4891/...36a0d197_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4881/...7687f301_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4918/...415889f4_o.jpg |
Re: ''Cherokee To Chuggy'',a AMW built SCX10 2 So this shock rod end ripped off during an off camber uphill rock ledge climb where the right front tire grabbed traction while the left tire was completely off the ground and the shock rod end ripped right out. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4826/...6fcb3e34_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4860/...d9f37435_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4913/...f65d80b3_o.jpg I added a panel in the c to d pillars.
