I highly recommend cutting the sidewall lugs out of any tire to soften the rubber which increases traction and allows the foam and tire to work in harmonious balance. Also if the tire is not VENTED the foam and tire CANNOT conform resulting in a air tight stiff tire. I recommend a minimum of 3 vent holes in a tire. The more vent holes to a tire the softer and faster the tire / foam can conform, compress and decompress. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...2519fc87_c.jpg |

Re: ''Cherokee To Chuggy'',a AMW built SCX10 2 Time has passed without me updating this build thread and alot has changed! On May 4 at the Activated Outlaw Get together after we had finished running courses I took the Chuggy on a trail ride around the park. I was climbing a 20 ft hill climb covered with small stones and at the top of the climb the Chuggys front axle broke! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...04cc2aa4_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...0cf2a8b4_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...1a6d09df_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...66942fdf_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...09fe7597_c.jpg Not only did the Axle C break but the axle shaft was destroyed! This starts the Rebuild That took place from May 4 to June 1 of 2019! |

Re: ''Cherokee To Chuggy'',a AMW built SCX10 2 I got tired of the rust so it is time to paint the chassis, New panel skins, new motor, and reinstate the Chuggy! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...32cf74bf_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4e22e172_c.jpg After tens of hours these sliders are bent out of shape and dented. So it is time to reinstate them. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...c1d7bdf1_c.jpg Bam! I first straightened the sliders and then used 60 grit to 600 grit sand paper to sand these sliders smooth again! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...0fb3fda0_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...c40e731a_c.jpg |
