Default Stock 10.2 kit in comp yesterday

I ran my 10.2 and 10.1 in a comp yesterday. The 10.2 is a stock kit version and my 10.1 has the typical mods and has a slightly longer wheelbase. Have to say my 10.1 ate the 10.2 for lunch. I am thinking it is the droop shocks and the sideways behind tower battery tray in the 10.1 that made the difference. What have you done to stabilize/lower COG the 10.2? Mine spent a lot of time napping.

I've lowered mine quite bit. Put the bottom of the shocks in the link mount holes, and ordered the Knights lowering collars.

I didnt want to take all the preload out, which would have done the same thing, to avoid the body roll. I have seen people put a swaybar in the rear to help keep it planted.

Obviously keeping weight low is key as well.

I swapped shocks front to rear, and took all the preload out, lol.
Rear springs are the stiffer normally on the front, and frot are the ones normally on the rear.

Another thing is I run a small 2200mah 3s battery in the tray as far forward as it will go. Mine goes everywhere with small tires my bigger scx10 goes with ud/od.

I installed a battery tray and servo mount that allows mounting the battery flat. I also managed to lower the body more. Still need to relocate the shocks to the lower link but I am using Venture shocks rather than the Axials. All has made a difference but not exceeding the 10.1 yet.

I used the latest Holmes Hobbies brushless tune video and now the Castle Slate combo is smoother than any brushed system I have. Will continue to improve the COG.
