Need alittle help with reciever and transmitter

So I changed my transmitter and reciever to a spectrum sr 515 and a do 5 rugged. Didn’t change motor or esc still stock from dead bolt rtr. Now my throttle is reversed when the remote says it’s normal. Any idea one what I did wrong. I plugged everything in right I put my servo in str plug esc in throttle. I had someone tell me to change the wires on the motor as in flip flop them. I’m not no genius or certified electrician or anything but I’ve wired a few things in my life and I know better than to put the hot wire on the ground terminal and so forth. Just wanted a second opinion.

Switching the wires just switches motor direction. But there may be a switch for normal/reverse function on your transmitter for both the throttle and the steering.

It won't hurt anything to switch the wires, but if you radio has normal and reverse settings for steering and throttle just switch it to the setting that operates the rig as it should, won't hurt a thing, that's what those settings are for.

I’ve switched the wires on the motor and it worked. Appreciate the help
