| Getting the dig function to work with the DX5 Pro
I set the dig function (Aux 1) to the A button on my DX5 Pro. It has options for linear, 3 position, and 2 position. If I set it to linear, nothing happens. However, if I set it to 3 position or 2 position, the truck tries moving at the same time that the dig is enabled without my using the throttle. Any ideas how to make this work properly? |

The A button by default is mapped to be a steering or throttle trim. You need to de-select the trims from the A button. Go to trim setup then to Next, from here you can set which buttons control the steering and throttle trims, I always move those to C and D as these are completely useless on a crawler. Once you do that setup dig to use the A button and dial in the end points like usual.

SO I have it set up, and it's kind of working. However, when I set the endpoints (around 57% to engage) the following things happen: - I have to actively press the opposite direction of the A button to disengage dig. Is this normal? If I don't then dig stays engaged. Last edited by synic; 07-13-2021 at 07:38 PM. |

What rig or dig setup is it? Sometimes it takes a little bit of throttle to get dig to disengage or even a little bit of reverse on some setups. Is it set as a 2 or 3 position switch? If you set it to a 3 position switch the (sub) trim for the aux channel you're using is the value for the middle end point. Is it set to be a momentary switch? Momentary should be inhibited unless you intend to hold the button down to engage it. Cyclic should also be inhibited so the direction you press the button always does the same thing.
