After we shot the video we went and bashed around at another location and both ended up toasting our motors. Quote:
Yea it was a nice hike and we had a blast. Talked about getting a bunch of guys together and going and doing a trail. No gates, no points, nothing except driving and having fun.

Great video and spot! Looks like the Wraith's are nicely balanced for higher speeds. Looks like they will take a beating too. Anything break? |

I'm thinking vxl for esc and motor but crawl ability will suck or a vxl esc with a d3 motor (sensored) 10.5. The vxl esc will run sensored and is water resistant |

We can get you set up with a replacement brushed motor for sure. I also have a good selection of Tekin and Castle motors coming in if you ever wanted to use brushless. Pretty kick ass vids! The best I have seen yet! |

SICK video! It seems each video of the wraith just keeps getting better, and all of them do nothing but help us want to add one to the collection! Make more and post up any mods asap or as soon as possible...which ever comes first! |

Well, just placed an order with Holmes Hobbies, decided to try out sensored brushless in this thing. I have a sensored setup in my HPI Blitz, but other than that I have never played with them. Got a Mamba Max Pro and a Hyperion 13.5 motor. Leaving to for a few days on monday, but I should have it running by next weekend. |

I am aborting my brushless setup now. The sensorless is fun for bashing but no good otherwise. I bet that setup you're grabbing will be a better mix of both. I am switching gears and going for a little more scale/trail rig with mine now.

This motor is comparable to like a 25 turn brushed motor, so I am hoping that I can gear it so it's about as fast, or maybe just a hair more than stock. I'm happy with the stock speed on 3s, just hoping the brushless gives me a little more efficiency and reliability.

Tekin has a chart that will tell you exactly what your top speed will be. I plan on a simular set up using a MMP and Tekin SC sensored brushless, should have more torque with the longer can.... One of the senerios I ran with Tekins calculator put me at 29.8 mph Hoping it will retain the low end resolution with the longer SC can Only real concern is will the longer can clear the upper link mounts at the skid.....but there are ways to overcome that. |
