Has anyone heard any news if the wraith will be available as a kit you build yourself instead of the ready to run?

Supposed to be but no release dates. I wouldn't be looking for it till after axial fills It's preorders and distributors have stock on shelves. Just my guess.

It was posted by Axial that they would be doing a kit but I'm assuming they'll be tending to the RTR for awhile first. Hopefully we see it in a few months or so.

The nice thing about their kits is that usually they have the already upgraded parts where we need them (links most importantly).

The kit is what I'm looking forward too. I wonder if the kit would have the same wheels as the RTR or possibly some beadlocks?

+1 on the kit. They're on backorder everywhere, so you'll have to wait anyway. Might as well wait a little bit longer. I can't imagine they'd take too long to come out with the kit, less they lose a lot of potential sales to disinterest, the next new thing, and used sales. I can't imagine a kit version being that hard to make, especially when they've already got all of the spare parts available.

Personally, I would have already bought one if they had any in stock (rtr or kit). As a newb, being out of stock, this gives me more time to look at other options. If I didn't have to wait to use the classifieds, I would have forgotten about the Wraith and moved on. I know the classifieds are the bargain basements with rc stuff, so I know I would have found something else to waste my money on. That's really the only reason the Wraith is still on my radar. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Personally I prefer the stock links, they are really forgiving when going quick.
For crawling they are too soft, but for the speed they take a lot of abuse.

Yes forgiving but after awhile they stay out of shape. At that point my axles weren't square to each other and made high speed stuff very tough. You could replace with stock again but it only lasted me a few weeks.

Rpphobby had a few in stock yesterday for a couple of hours. I was lucky enough to get one from them then. They are out of stock now, but I would keep an eye out.

Yeah a little bit, mine are a little tweaked, but they will bend back if you push them hard enough. I also routed zip ties through the holes in the links and it actually helps them stay together.

Would be kinda cool if RPM made some LINKS. Their arms are just the thing for any RC.

Call them, the web site is outdated and neglected... RC Plus also had a unclaimed Wraith the other day.

The RTR's to the public haven't been out more than 2 weeks. I bet the kit version won't be out until Xmas time at the earliest.
