the CC bec is not needed with the HH BR-XL esc just fyi! it has a great internal BEC! IMO 3600mah is pleanty of run time for a wraith. no need to buy more! but you might want 3s for some extra wheel speed.

should be a great build! I like all the VP parts!

only thing I don see that you might want is MIP drive shafts!

chicklet 07-28-2011 07:02 PM

MIPs are on my list ;) I have them on my SCX10 and love 'em. I'm gonna stick with 2s. Not to concerned about wheel speed. I have a Traxxas Rally for speed lol.

klabeaume 07-30-2011 12:31 AM

Looks like a good parts list. You are going to want the Ti links also. "thumbsup"

chicklet 07-30-2011 06:43 AM

Thanks klabeaume. Hehe VP killed my Paypal lol. I'm going to wait for some more link options. Also going to relocate the battery up front. CC BEC is on the way. I also got all the VP stuff installed yesterday. MTHead delrin rings are on too ;)

Ya VP did the same to me and they keep me wanting more! Check out the crawler innovations links they worked great on my rig nice and solid.

klabeaume 07-30-2011 10:04 PM

Did the wraith knuckles come with both steering arms? In their stock photos they look like they're made onto the knuckle. Thanks

chicklet 07-31-2011 06:43 AM

The little arms are separate pieces but they come with the knuckles. Not sure why they are red but I like the color break up.

HillbillyCrawler 07-31-2011 08:19 AM

I have the Pit Bulls on mine and they work great dirt or rock just perfect.the foams that I have are dual stage custom foams from 66sprint6 an they are perfect for the tires.he is pretty cheap to 4 for about the price of 2 foams anywhere else

chicklet 07-31-2011 08:24 AM

Sweet! I can't wait for my Pitbull Rockbeasts. I'm getting the new 1.9s as well for another build.

HillbillyCrawler 07-31-2011 08:28 AM

You will love them.

chicklet 08-03-2011 03:30 PM

Rockbeasts are on they way. Everything is installed. Going to run the stock motor/esc on 2s lipo with the bec for now. My HH setup should be here in a couple weeks. :)

RPP Hobby 08-03-2011 03:43 PM

Glad you got it! Looking good "thumbsup" "thumbsup"

chicklet 08-03-2011 05:58 PM

Thanks Corey for everything!

JohnRobHolmes 08-03-2011 06:22 PM

You are set up for some good times!

Some advice on the BEC: Give the TM internal one a shot. For the stock servo it will have no problems. For the hitec you may want to pick up a programmer and widen the deadband to ensure it isn't buzzing all the time. Depending on your driving or terrain you may not even need it. Some people do at that servo strength, some people dont.

chicklet 08-03-2011 06:33 PM

Thanks John for all your help today! I'm super excited about my new setup!!!!

HillbillyCrawler 08-04-2011 08:04 AM

Here is a pic of mine with the Pit Bull rock beasts and the dual stage foams from 66sprint6.they work so good.

I agree. The stock ripsaws feel like crap compared to these.

boulder 08-07-2011 08:49 AM

Ok, I'm sold...time for new tires!!

Now if I can just find some screws locally to get the knuckles and C hubs installed...

George Conway 08-08-2011 12:29 AM

Wow nic e looking wraaith!!!!

PUREVIL 08-08-2011 01:40 AM

Damn your not wasting anytime huh? Looks good and the parts list looks good too! Keep posting pics please! :)

chicklet 08-08-2011 08:51 AM

Thanks guys! My Holmes Hobbies 13t motor and esc will be here today. I'm super excited. Now I have to finish all my panels and get it back together. This rig is certainly a blast to drive. The pinion set screw decided to back out yesterday lol. My new Rockbeasts are mounted and ready to go.

swood74 08-08-2011 08:58 AM

Id like to see your tires mounted. they look wide in the pic

chicklet 08-08-2011 09:08 AM

They are wide! About the same height mounted as the ripsaws (with the Pitbull DP dual stage foams). More MTHead rings on the way for this setup.

They look way wider when the aren't on the rig.you put them on the Wraith and they don't look that wide.

chopan84 08-08-2011 10:13 AM

Nice rig chicklet!! i cant wait to see it when its done especially with that holmes setup your gonna run "thumbsup"

chicklet 08-08-2011 11:00 AM

Thanks atown!

crawlhog 08-08-2011 11:11 AM

way to clean CHICKLET:shock: how about some action shots, quit teasing. have you ran them yet. im really liking mine on the SCX there hooking up better than my SAWS

chicklet 08-08-2011 11:15 AM

Hehe I haven't ran it as much as I would like so far. Went for a short run last nite with my 2s lipo and it was a blast. I have to get the HH setup (with 3s lipos) in and a few other little touches done. Ordered some VP diff covers, VP rear lockouts and some links today. I have to decide if I want to run the rockbeasts on my plastic wheels or aluminums. I worked out a trade with another member so I should have some Mayhem wheels soon. :ror:

crawlhog 08-08-2011 02:49 PM

i say go with the alum. a little extra weight and they look COOL"thumbsup"
