| Australian Wraith - alloy panels
Here’s a bit of an expedited Wraith build up. I’ve been messing with this for a few weeks. It started life off the same as all others and was quickly modified. The speedy swapped out to a waterproof sidewinder, the motor has been changed 5 or 6 times, now back to stock until Holmes do their next run of 13t Pro’s. The Hitch 7950 servo is taking care of the steering quite well. It looked a little tall for me so I went about lowering it. Not being happy with flipping the diff mounts I lowered it by raising the shocks. The shock cross bar has been flipped with a bracing plate adding the strength back. The front mount lays the shock back a little more helping out with soaking up the bumps at speed. I also noticed that the “dig ready” tranny has a hole in the back that allows water in. I just glued a M3 screw in place that can be removed when the dig is available. [img]http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l68/sierrajim/3908a210.jpg Also fitted up some rock lights for front and back. Then I broke a knuckle and C, which was a good reason to get some Vanquish gear. Now fitted with knuckles, C’s and rear lock outs. A note for new players, if your order Vanquish knuckles and C’s you’ll need to supply M3 bolts to hold the two together. The original knuckle is attached to the C using a screw. We’ve had some alloy panels made Then I shot it with some paint After busting a shaft I installed some 3 Racing shafts and machined some links on my new lathe All stickered up, making some patterns for some new products to be released in the next couple of weeks. |
