Default The MaxWraith generation!!

Hi guys, this is the 3D for my Wraith mod.
i don't want to write on the "strengths and weaknesses" i have found on this car during the first stock run, many people have just done!

the first work is move the battery to the front, i have study much of RCC 3D and i find this is the best solution.
taked off the interiors, i have cut the end of interiors, warm them and make a new corner to free more space, this is the result

the space was tried with an hard case lipo and with an oversize hyperion 6500 2S, and, as you can see, the battery stay inside the tube body parts

i have to find the right way to fix the battery during the use...

next step....the transmission skid mod...

Default transmission skid mod

as i want to try to run the wraith with an mamba max pro esc and a novak 550 ballistc motor, i have to work on the skid to take more space for the motor, it is so long, but i love it!!

i have to take off some parts from the superior rear links fix point on the skid, i've used a dremel to do this, not to much becase this can cause the brken of the part. to mount better the trasmission and the motor i have put under the trans a 1,5mm spacer, it is enough.

and with the motor mounted

i have had to realized a special mount for a 32P gear, the main gear is from revo, 56T and this is the bigger pinion i can mount, 15T, too fast, i'm waiting for the right one, i think i will mount a 9T or a 8T

the gear insider are steel king for more strength!!

with its cover, the 56T gear is the bigger size you can mount inside the dust cover..

Default moving electronics to the back!

as the battery goes to front, the electronics goes to rear, i take the original support for the battery, the esc will be apply a little ander the "back radio", taking out just the esc fun.

beside the esc i have applied the electronic box. it from an old traxxas t-maxx 2.5 hopup, the allu receiver box, as i have loose the cover, i made new two and in the mean time i have ordered a new one from UK

this is the switch for the leds light, on/off by radio, it is a ...graupner ones or a robbe ones, i don't remember...it fit good inside!

stock leds drive

and all the rest of the electronic, a castle bec and the 6ch receiver

it is not visible, but there is a little hole on the box back from wich i take out the short antenna wire, i hope the receiver will work fine, if not i will change to one with a long antenna..

here all electronic parts mounted on the battery tray

now i'm waiting for more parts, internal fender and a back cover plus others from my new friend bone collector!!

the servo will be an hitec, or an old 5955 or a new 7954, i don't know!

i'm thinking something to change the body panels grafich, as the clear replace are not still avaiable, i'm considering the possibilty on repaint the out surface of the stock one or cover theme with a pearl silver carbon stickers.....

working on it!!

I like the use of the Tmax aluminum RX box. I'll have to remember that, could be useful on another project.

Nice work so far

Ciao!

Better switch to the Hitec 7950, it´s a blast!

By the way, I stayed near Firenze in vallé de villa tignanello and tried to get a servo in firenze and siena, absolut a big challenge in Italy! 1:8 nitros and airplanes and raceboats are common, but no crawlers! So no strong servos, only up to 14 kg in the shops...
So I ended up to finish the holidays being lazy on the poolside

When you move the electronics how do you have enough wire, do you cut them and extend them.

i'm sorry for your bad holiday, big servo in italy are not very simple to find, the shop has in stock only they are sure to sell and , as the crawling is not very popoular, they don't have big servo. if you need, you can find all servo you want but only on online shop, but not all take this kind, but we can find it, you have to know the right shop!!

the 7950 is a beast but it is not my preferred servo, i don't like the HV servo too much!!

not enough wire!! i have to use an extention as for the servo as for the future winch, also the front led wire have to be extended.

for this truck i have used futaba servo extention, i'd placed the plug near the front, in this way i can take out the transmission with the axles very simply, same for the led wire, i'm looking for a female plug for the original wire or i will use a battery pack plug

any suggestion where to find the female for the original plug? or if i colud find a complete wire extention, it will the best!!
