Default Toe In?

Just installed my Vanquish tie rod, and in searching the forum see that I'm not the only one experiencing lots of toe in when the rod ends are screwed in all the way. I've backed both ends off a couple of turns. And I've read I can hack the longer Jato ends if I want to eliminate the gaps. Not that big a deal, but would have been nice to get a better fit.

But here I'm wondering if any toe in is desirable? My driving is pretty much evenly split between trails, casual crawling, and racing around the lawn. Stock everything except the Vanquish steering, a Hobbico CS170 servo, and the CC BEC.

I'm too new at this to be able to evaluate how toe-in affects handling on this thing.

hey jack, go to this link and send your info.

for now just unscrew your rod ends out 1 or two turns per side until steering is parallel and you will be fine...ok,

slight toe-in is preferred over toe out. as the wheels tend to move outward with speed.

Thanks Tom! Hadn't looked at the vendor forums until now--glad to see such great support!
