Question Differential in front axle?

This is prolly' gonna be the " stupid question to beat all other stupid questions" buuut.. Here goes.....
Where I live, there' s precious little to crawl, so, I mostly do the faster trail-running-thing like with my Tammy volks-reg and 3-speed hilux.

Hence my question:
What parts do I need to get at least the front a loose differential?
I know axial has diff-gears for the ax10, but i do not know what is used to spin the sattelite gears on. There are no little axles in that set.

More importantly, will they fit? Aand, does anyone know of any replacement open diffs of different brands?

Thanx in advance.

Completely unrelated, but, for those on a budget wanting to run a "beer-can 550" as a throw-away motor, it is useful to search for graupner-speed 600 and Robbe 550's
They are dead-cheap, and have quite a bit more torque and rpm under load than that weezy 20t

Ah. Scorpion diff housings are the same as the wraith's.. I see
That should make it a lot easier.
Thanx a bundle

Now for choosing a supplier in Europe ( preferably). The dutch importer is not exactly known for it's speed...

You sure the HPI kit will fit the Axial diff? It's about the same price as stock Axial parts after you add the pieces together.

Wouldn't it be more effective on the rear like a RWD buggy

It fits in the diff cup fine. I have not installed in a axle housing yet. I remember reading about people using hpi gears before, as well as ring and pinions. Not 100% sure it will all fly yet.

Can you imagine a front wheel drive car with a spool? The handling would be horrific.

Locked rear and open front handles much better than vise-versa.
