Read the beginners guide, basically the only differences are the lower links are alumiunum, it comes with sticky tires and universals.

I bought the kit version and ended up buying beadlock wheels, alum steering and a light kit. The kit comes with the softer ripsaw tires and they are pretty sweet. Also comes with the better axle universal shafts and alum lower links as mentioned. The kit also has a dig ready trans, a bunch of different light buckets, extra drivelines etc..
