| Vanquish fitment issues
Hey guys I have searched and searched as a bitch of a time it can be on a iPhone. But have been unsuccessful in finding a answer. I purchased all vanquish front end upgrades(chubs knuckles tie rod drag link). My problem is the stock Wraith wheels don't clear the rear arms on the knuckle. Normal?? Time to bust out the dremel?? Pony up for some wheels?? If so what hex as there are a ton. Also the drag link seems to be to long?? Any input is great.

The knuckle shouldn't have any rear arms.

I just looked on the vanquish site when you click on Wraith products they show the xr-10's. Which are the ones I ordered. The bummer part is in the you might also like they show the Wraith ones. But aren't the stock ones just plastic xr-10's?? So shouldn't the vanquish xr-10's work?? I mean they do minus the arms rubbing

So which way do I go, to fix the problem?? I really have no problem trimming the arms. Is there a benefit to the zero Ackerman ??

| Zero ackerman is something common in the crawling world. There are threads specifically on that, I'm not going to go through the whole process of trying to explain it. In short it helps turning in locked axles.

Thanks for not writing a textbook on it. I just needed the redneck explanation.

the inner tire turns sharper. Aka turning left the left tire will be turned more. It helps turning on any rig. Locked axles will not turn as tight as open so it's even more important. Last edited by TLTCrawlin; 11-21-2011 at 07:47 PM. |

| Thats actually not correct. Zero ackerman means they turn the same on both sides. Correct ackerman means the inner tire turns sharper.

Ok. I haven't had both (zero ackerman/not) as I got out of crawling when axial started in. So have owned one axial based rig but plan on a wraith in a week to get back in the game. Thanks for the clarification. So no Ackerman is best on a crawler? |
