Default loose the stock 20t

I changed out the stock 20t motor with a 35t Integy Matrix Pro, running 87/14gears. I have been running the stock motor the last couple days and it crawled allright but just changed it out for the 35t and it crawles so much better. Its slow so if you want to bash dont go that way, but if you want it to be more of a crawler and slow trail rig go with a 35t. I can get some speed out by going back to the stock 80/20 gear, but I like the way it is now. Also running a 3s battery.

I got it for a back up because I knew the stock motor wasnt going to last, I was going to wait tell it fried but I wanted to try the 35t motor out. I plan on ordering a HH Torquemaster 35t handwound or a Crawlmaster 28t handwound and a BRXL esc. I heard if you go with the crawlmaster you can run a lower turn motor and still have great torque.

You don't want to go with a 28t if you are looking for a 35 turn-ish motor. You would need to go with a 16t Crawlmaster.

Thanks for the heads up, is the 28t crawlemaster more like 55t motor?

Yeah it would be somewhere around there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but with those HH motors (because they are 5 slot), it's generally a safe bet to compare them to any other motor that's double the turns. I.e. The 13t crawlmaster is comprable to a normal 27t.... Right?

Not exactly, I think that will grow you further off as you progress on the scale. Holmes may have a KV rating on them, that would be the best way to compare. Generalizing 2x will get you in a super rough ballpark though.

Yea I looked on Holems and the 28t crawlmaster is closer to a 45t TM going off the KV rateings. So for me to get close to the 35t motor I'm running I need to go with the 20t CM at 1500kv The 35t TM is 1565kv so they are the closeest to each other. Harley thanks for the help.
