I don't have the traxxas part number but I used the battery hold down out of a rustler. All you need is the two posts that screw in. I used coaxial cable clamps from lowes. I know there is a step by step walk through on this forum.

I used Traxxas Rustler/Slash battery hold-down plate set TRA3727 and some 1/4' plastic cable clamps from the hardware store to do this...

I used the 1/4" cable clamps for the hinges and team associated part no. 6916 (comes with 4 screws so you can pin the hood totally down or hinge it with two screws) they just need to be cut down a little in length. If you do the hinges you'll need a couple extra screws with lock nuts to fasten the cable clamps. I like the screws better than the traxxas ones because they are smaller and black rather than chrome. Sorry for the blurry pic of the underhood.

I did the same thing for hinges but went with sticky velcro for the front hold down mechanism. Hook side on the front of the cage and loop side on the underside of the hood. The strip is seriously only about 1/2" pretty dang solid (been ummm "broken in" more than a couple times). Since the hook side is on a tube I put 3 tiny zip ties around it stop it from unrolling itself. I'll post pics tomorrow if this was unclear.

I used zip tie black ones and then on that cross member on the very front of the hood I took it off and replaced it with 3/16 steel and glued 2 rare earth magnets to my hood I've flipped it rolled and everything else and the hood has never came open
