how long will the stock Axial 20T motor last, running on 3S LiPo?

I'm going to purchase a couple of 3S LiPo batteries and was wondering how long will the stock Axial 20T motor will last, running on 3S?

If you gear it really low.. Like just a little faster than 2s, then it might last a bit longer..
It gets hot on 2s so it will fry on 3s if you don't change the gearing.
The biggest killer of almost all motors is people trying to get too much speed and over gearing ( gearing too high).

If you're gonna do it, make sure to heck your motor temps every couple minutes at first to really get a feel for what's happening.

Plus 3s is going to be 50% faster than 2s, so what I would do (and this is just my opinion) is gear down by 25% then put the 3s in so I would have 25% more speed.
So 20/80 is a 4:1 ratio.. I would gear down to at least 15/80 then put the 3s in..

Not long... Considering I smoked mine with a 5000mAh NiMh after about 5 packs. Could have been my shitty driving.

Mine lasted roughly ten minutes. I had already put about 6-7 2s through it finished my ax10 trans hurtz dig swap and poof went the magic smoke that was with 56/10 32p gearing. The esc wasn't even warm the motor was bad enough that it won't even turn.

thats about right for my expieriance, it drove about 5 feet before it cooked the brushes

(my expieriance was with an axial 27t, not the 20t sorry, I still dont see it lasting long)
