Default Wraith wheel weight

Is anybody running weights in the wheels? For all around use.
I have new beadlocks and tires coming.
I was thinking about 2oz in fronts nothing in back due to battery weight.

Box stock for now until things break. Replace as needed.

I had 2 full wraps of lead when I started. Probably close to 4.5 oz in each front tire. Crawled pretty good. Put a brushless in and took all the weight out.

That servo is pretty weak. I'd stay away from adding weight until you get a better servo. Any weight with the stock one is asking for failure. Even going from stock wheels and tires to aluminum wheels and tires is a push for that servo

I am running 4 ounces in each front tire and nothing in the back. Seems to work good.

X2.....moving the battery helps balance the truck, then you won't need as much weight in the wheels.

I'm running about 4oz in each wheel and it seems to slow down my Savox 1268mg.. I know there are stronger servo's out there but, This one must be about 275oz-300oz at the 7v I'm running it at.

Anyone else notice the servo performance decrease when adding weight in the wheels?

Here's another way of weighting the truck . I wasnt keen to add weight to my stock tyres and wheels so I left them as is and I added weight to my axles . I run a 17.5T in one of my rigs and this avoids the severe backlash you can give your drivetrain when you run a maximum drag brake , no extra strain on servo either . Its easy to change the weights when you need or remove them altogether , only downside is the looks ! Gotta get a tidy box to put the lead in.

I'm running 3.5oz front and 3oz rear right now with either 5000mah 2s or 3s 2250mah in stock rear location. Works good so far.

I used the self sticking weights from a tire shop .and put 2.75 on each front and 1oz on the rear wheels , and attached .50 on the front housing . That improved it`s performance on loose uphill dirt.

I added two full strips of weight to each front tyre. I have the battery in the back still. Seemed to crawl a lot lot better and tip far less.

I think i ended up at 7 oz each front and 3.25oz each rear. Battery up front as well. Really stable rig.

I have the savox 1256tg, with 7oz each front, plastic wheels. It slowed it down a bit, but not to the point of wanting more steering power. I only notice it while on high traction slow stuff. Oh yeah, the r35 ripsaws are also harder to turn than the MT baja claws were. I think the size, width, and more agressive tread on the ripsaws plays a part to this. As soon as i get on the throttle with the pro4 tho, it makes the rig feel like it weighs nothin and servo is happy
