I think Axial made the perfect choice with the stock shocks.

Running 3Racing's AX10-12/GR Oil Damper Shock absorber Set (no inner spring used) For AX10 Scorpion, replaced the springs with Axial AX30213 14x90mm 1.32 lbs/in Super Soft springs, and I use VP's upper trailing arms with Axial AX30433 6x98mm lower arms. The rest is all stock. These suspension upgrades extend the wheelbase a bit, but add much more flex to the suspension while keeping the same ride height and similiar spring/shock stiffness to the stock setup. The only thing limiting the suspension flex now are the tires hitting the body on my setup. Note: Used the 30 weight oil supplied in the wraith kit to fill the 3Racing shocks. |

LOSI XXX buggy rear shocks are equal to the proline slash powerstrokes, and can be found on ebay for half the cost.

I'd never had a bad set of shocks in the last 3 Axials I've had until my wraith. They kept sucking the bladders down into the shock body regardless of how I put it back together. I've rebuilt many shocks and just decided to build a set of Traxxas Big Bores (rear) for the truck. Just didn't seem worth rebuilding the Axials since I had the Big Bores here. I ran a set of 95mm Proline Scalers on it for a week and they were just too small. Too short and not enough oil. get the rig ripping through the ruts and bumps and the shocks faded fast. Great shock on an SCX-10 but the wraith needs a bit more.
