Which DIG system HR for wraith or Vp for AX10 tranny

I have read both sides and it is even, but this is from only finding 2 users, one for the Vp system on AX10 and the other saying it works perfect for HR on wraith tranny.

I wont be comping or a lot of heavy use. I will be on 1.9 wheels maybe 2.2 n future.


VP system $93. + $10 for tranny case

HR sytem $40 + wraith tranny

I normally build the best is available and would go with VP but it's $100.

So Who uses what syem and how is it workng for ya?

im running the HR dig with a hitec 645 servo and mine works perfect i have no complains with the HR dig upgrade. but im with you on building the best when you do your builds im with you on that my wraith and my ax10 both have all the vp goodies on them.

I just ordered a VP dig based of of recommendations from more experienced guys locally. I have bought a lot of other VP products, everything has been top notch. This is pretty much the sentiment I get from anybody that has used VP products.

the vp dig will not fit the wraith tranny they are 2 diff tranny housings to my knowledge the HR is the only dig for the wraith. but i could be totally wrong.

It would be a no brainer if this was my only crawler and going to use it a lot but little time to crawl and I have my berg which is freekin awesome!, my 1/8 custom buggy crawler and my new 1.9 scaler copy.

heck as slow as they are right now trying to get backorders up to date it would be months and months before they did but you cant go wrong with axial though they have some awesome stuff..

I just swapped a Wraith trans with HR dig into my AX10, one of the guys in my club using the VP in his AX is jealous of how smooth mine is compared to his. The VP, like all other AX digs, tends to get grumpy in any kind of bind and not shift. In the 6 courses I have gotten to run so far with my new setup, I only had one time it wouldn't unlock and I actually broke my front axle case I was so bound up.

would like to hear the same from others inorder to see how true it holds in different rigs/drivers.

It was a relief to me as well because I couldn't find any feedback on how th HR was. I just bought the parts and hoped. I knew I liked it A LOT better than the DNA I had, but felt I made the right choice when he saw it work and said it was better than his VP. Spent less, got better, win/win.

HR can be hit and miss. somethings built to hold up, other products from them are pure gimmicks.

I had an HR dig on my AX-10 and it was never very smooth and always very inconstant on when it would decide on catching and locking up the rear wheels or going back into 4wd even with a hi-tec 645 shifting.

I heard that from a few people, which added to my hesitation on the Wraith version.

Grimgreg is sayinh he liked his wraith dig better than the ax10.

Ill put my dig up against an hr dig any day of the week.

so what is the advantage of a wraith dif tranny versus a ax10 dig tranny?

is it the different length driveshafts?
I thought to swap in a AX10 tranny in a wraith you put insides of wraith into the ax10 tranny case and bolt her on.
Then you can run the VP DIG in your wraith usinf ax10 trans case.

So unless there is no big gain I dont see why VP would go to the expense of creating a "Wraith " specific wraith dig unit.

Hr dig is based on axials engineering. It costs 37 dollars.

I would pay 60-70$ for the same design but manufactured by vanquish. That's all I'm saying.

Im not a small business owner or machinist, so I can't comment on the profitability of manufacturing and selling this product. Just saying that I would pay a bit more to support vanquish, as I did with my other parts.
