Default BEC question.

I am wondering why when running a MMP esc a BEC is so necessary on a wraith when I can run the same combo in any of my other RC buggies, SCT's etc and never need one?

It's mainly due to the draw of the servo. My slash has the Traxxas 140 oz servo and I run a MMP on it as well. I run no be on my slash and it does fine. But, the slash has tiny 4" tall narrow tires and the front diff is not locked. So no real servo strain or draw on the receiver. Your wraith is trying to turn 5.5" tall grippy tires on rocks with locked differentials. High servo strain and amp draw from the receiver. This high drain can cause brown out or glitching and overall poor servo performance due to lack of amps needed. The mmp only puts out 1amp, not nearly enough.
