Default How many of you have a 12.5inch Wraith?

So how many have shortend your Wraith to 12.5"?

did you all compete in 2.2" and how did it go?

Is a 12.5" Wraith any good in a 2.2" Comp. ?

compared to ohters? 2.2"

It will not be a competitive 2.2 comp rig.

X2

Wraith is more of all-around basher rather than competitive 2.2 comp rig.

You could take the rig and compete with it. Yes the wraith is more of a basher. But with most RC it comes down to the driver and their skills.

Comp rigs have a very different set of priorities. Minimal weight up tall, the Wraiths chassis is a poor example of that. The length of the chassis also causes poor approach and departure angles. The long skid plate will not do you any favors either. Just go look in the Ax10 section, you'll see how much they differ. Here is my sportsman truck.

It depends on weather you are going to crawler comps or scaler comps. My wraith is doing alright at the scaler comps I go to around here. Once I learn how to drive it it should start doing a little better.

When referring to 12.5" and 2.2 that would usually mean comp class not scale. Scale isn't normally as limited on wheelbase.

The Axial XR10 can be a great rig, the ridgecrest will likely be a good basher.

In the 2.2 class you need MOA to be competitive. So XR10 or Berg are the best options.
