Default 1.9 Wraith build

I got a used Wraith chassis from a buddy and since I had some SCX axles I decided to build a scaler Wraith. Here's a list of parts used

Wraith Chassis
SCX axles and trans
Pro-line Titus wheels
1.9 Pit Bulls
VP CMS servo mount
DP Customs 3 link axle truss
Pro-line Power Stroke scale shocks

here's some pics

Still need to figure out a really long rear driveshaft and slap some electronics in her. I may play with the cage a little and add a Dinky tray for the rear. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Looks good! I picked up another wraith today for a 1.9 build. How do you like the pit bulls and servo mount?

The Wraith chassis looks soooo much better with AX axles and 1.9's compared to stock.

No I doubt it. just doing some fab work and hopefully some scale products in the near future.

I agree the Wraith looks much more scale with these axles. I'd like to narrow a set of Wraith axles, offset front & center rear. The tires feel great haven't run them yet. The VP mount is nice. I simply added an old TXT part to make the panhard mount. It seems to work fine.

Well not having driven it yet I can't really say but it seems like it'll be fine.
I'll snap a pic of the front end and add it to this post. What was your setup that didn't work?

I used a cms no panhard bar just on the frame horrible bump steer. My axles not sure what they were from look like axial scorpion but have no way of mounting a servo on the axle like the scorpion. I didnt give up i got another chassis i liked the 1.9 look yours is really nice.

yeah, that would be great if you could give lenghts of upper and lower links. do the stock wraith links work? did you use the 4 link mounts from axial?

I ended up using a 4 link kit for an axial scx10 dingo to get a reasonable Wb. Still a little long for my taste. Wb8 drive line kit has plenty of options to get the length needed for the rear drive line.

IMHO you'd have to chassis mount the steering servo to tuck the front axle in enough to get the front wheels into the wheel well area. I had to do some trial and error shimming of my upper links to get enough clearance for my servo to tuck into the gap in the front of the chassis.

I've never used the cms setup yet so I can't chime in. I do know it is a trick to get the servo positioned on the axle so it clears the chassis on full compression. This is how mine sits at the moment. No 1.9's till I shorten the front and chassis mount my steering servo.

I take any long pipe i have and chuck it up in the drill press and then cut it to the size i need. I had four Mip drive shafts and i need 145mm for the rear shaft because i used the AX10 transmission so i cut two male shafts and mig welded them together and ended up with a rear shaft . I just rock tested my SCX10 wraith yesterday and it out crawls my AX10 i think. It is so stable and well go where the stock wraith is to wide. I have both 1.9 wheels and 2.2 for it.

I love the Wraith axles but wow! It looks really awesome with narrow axles and 1.9's!

Here are the link lengths for those interested.

Rear is using the axial 4 link truss mount.
lowers: 4 5/8" -118mm eye to eye
uppers: 118mm eye to eye

Front using my own truss 3 link mount
lowers: 99mm eye to eye
upper: 80mm eye to eye

I was able to use Stampede shafts front and rear. Then I got all the electronics together and tested them with good results. Then I got it all installed and nothing works. The RX isn't getting power from the new Eiger ESC. Not sure what the deal is, but it's upsetting.
