| Looking to Get Back Into the Game - With a Wraith
Hey guys, long time no post for me. I lost interest in crawling a while back due to school being so busy in my last few years of college, but now that I've graduated and landed the engineering job I wanted I thought I might get back into the crawling scene with a Wraith...plus it'll give me something to tinker with from time to time haha. I've been out of the scene for almost 2 years and really lost track of what's new, good upgrades, etc. So I am looking for suggestions on mods to do to the RTR Axial Wraith and specifics on the mods, but would like to keep it fairly budget friendly and not blow tons of cash on this thing but make it more capable. So far I am thinking the following: 3500mah Lipo Different Body Panels (kind of like the aluminum ones and can configure decals as I like) 2.2 Interco Iroks (or other suggestions on good scale 2.2s) 2.2 Beadlocks (need suggestions on what kind) Metal Links Aluminum Servo Horn Chassis Mount Steering Servo Kit Upgraded Metal Knuckles (need suggestions on brand) LED Light Bar Brushless System (eventually, and suggestions on one that is 3s capable and won't break the bank) Good BEC (when upgrading the ESC/Motor combo) Upgrade the Lockers (need siggestions on part specifics) I guess that's about all I can think of now short of going really extreme with the mods. If you guys don't mind I would love to get suggestions on the above items and any other help/advice you're willing to offer. Thanks guys, and it's good to be back! id recomend a savox 1230 servo and metal steering links. robby gordon bead locks and tsl's lower the ride height and have 2200 mah battery mounted under the hood i think the rest of the list can wait or be upgraded as needed. |

It does get expensive really fast. Best advice I have for you is do a little at a time, or don't fix it until it breaks. VP floating lockers Axial universals, or the more expensive VP VVD's with 50* steering HighTec 7950 with a Robtronics clamping arm or even a 7954SG, 7955TG 2.2 Pit Bull Rock Beast II's, best performing scale tire period VP knuckles, c-hubs and lockouts VP Ti links, or some Stainless ones RRP steel trans gears 32p spur and pinion You'll want a sensored ESC and motor for crawling, not to cheap. My recommendations for that are MMP or Tekin RS with a Tekin Pro4, Roc 412 or Novak Ballistic crawler motor. |

Thanks for the replies so far guys. And I also noticed the sticky at the top of the section about modding the Wraith...very informative!
