Did your motor fit right in the chassis or did you have to trim some of the link mount a little? Mine will not allow the trans to bolt flat to the skid Sent from my tardis using Tapatalk |

I was planning on using the same system. I did how ever use one on my Foff build using a SCX10 chassis. I had to make a spacer for under the Trans to create the clearence it needed. Due to the similar skid type design I think that maybe your easiest solution to your problem. | |

I got my VXL to somehow fit without doing any mods. I did kind of stuff it in there without taking apart the whole truck. I am doing a total rebuild on my truck now (mainly so it will withstand the crazy speed of said VXL motor), so I'll have to see what is going on in there for sure.

| Re: To those using the velineon system It protects the whole end of the motor.. It also covers the end of the shaft and bearing.. Which should be sealed up with some sort of tape.. Cover keeps the tape fresh as well.

Does that black cap have anything to do with water resistance? Or just to keep dust and crap out!

I will assume its there to protect the connections and to keep stuff out of the bearing in the back but if you seal that up I'd imagine itd be fine Sent from my tardis using Tapatalk |

The cover does nothing IMO when I took it off I had to dig the mud out from behind it. I put a sticker over the bearing fwiw I dremeled away some of the chassis to clear the motor, it can be forced w/o trimming but the skid will be a little tweaked. Cheers Speed |
