Default Waterproof Pro4 with Corrosion X?

I have been on YouTube and the search help on RCCrawler and can't find the person that made a YouTube video of waterproofing a Pro4. He goes into detail about disassembly and using the product. I have also searched the motor/esc help section at the top of the page and couldn't find it. Can anyone help me with the link? Thanks in advance!

Sorry I can't help find the video but I corrosionX mine. If you need help disassembling the motor there is a few YouTube videos for that. Completely disassemble motor then soaked everything in corrosionX. I moved parts around to make sure they got coated. I let them sit for couple days to drip off then wiped off excess corrosionX and assembled. I submerged my motor 6 times and no problems.

Thanks for the help I'll disassemble the motor and soak it. So you can clearly see the excess on the parts after taking them out of the Corrosion X?

It's clear but yes. You will see it stays wet and i recommend drying it off pretty good It's like a oily wd40. I even did my rx8 esc. That never got submerge but has been splashed. You really can't screw up. You could even get rid of the excess with compressed air.

Thanks for that, it'll help me too. Going to do mine and it looks like corrosionx is really the only option for the sensor board... thinking of doing the sensor plug/port with dieletric grease, plastidip over it and plugging up the front screw mount holes with set screws. Yeah i'm a bit untrusting

Did you put throw the entire thing in corrosionx magnet and all?

I am having a hard time finding corrosion x up here in northern Alberta.
Wondering if any one knows if this will work the same.

X2^^^ Corrosion X is hard to find up here. If anyone knows of another similar product that works or another method say like plasti-dip or liquid electrial tape. I would rather waterproof it and forget about it then worry about has it been 6 months 9 a year and then go O s*** my motor is now dead.

Please someone let us now as I know there has 2 be more then 1 way to waterproof this motor.

I ordered my CorrosionX directly from them in the USA!! It was the cheapest way and when buying one bottle you pay no extra taxes or fees!! I have not used it yet but plan to soon.

So for us Canadians I say buy direct!!

I found it at a Safety supply shop for Firefighting equipment.. I'm not a fire fighter, I just went in there looking for a strap for my hard hat and they had it on the counter.
I'm in Nova Scotia Canada. the "Have Not" province. lol

There really is no need to put it on a brushed motor, they can run submerged already.

Yes I know I can get it direct but If there is another way that dosen't require reapplying after 6 months to a year that is the way I would prefer to go. Can anyone pipe in and say if you can use plastidip or liquid electrical tape for this motor.

Yes everything. Magnets, bearings, rotor, and sensor board the whole damn thing. Disassemble first to make sure it coats it all.

Another option, same effect as corrosion x.

I pulled the sensor board out and sprayed it with three coats of conformal coating, reassembled it, and then sealed up the can with electronic safe silicone sealer. Basically fill in any gaps where water can get in and make sure you fill any extra threaded mounting holes with blue threadlocked set screws. I've had mine under water several times. I've also pulled the motor apart a couple times and it's completely clean and dry inside.

I've seen another YouTube video of a guy using liquid electrical tape and the submerged it in water to prove it works. So, I'd say you can. But I think he only applied it to the outside at the sensor plug in and the front mounting points.
