| Thinking about getting a Wraith.
I have been looking through all the stickys and I think I have it figured out. Here is a list of parts I plan to order. LXBPDB Axial Wraith 4WD Kit LXXWH5 Castle Creations 1/10 Mamba Max Pro ESC Smart Sense LXULW8 Tekin Redline Sensored Brushless Motor 13.5 Turn LXZZD1 Futaba 3PL 3-Channel 2.4GHz FHSS Transmitter/Receiver LXNRN6 Hobbico CS-170 Std Digital Ultra Torq 2BB TG Servo U LXCASW Pro-Line Scale Accessory Assortment #6 All for $689. Eventually I plan to get the vanquish chassis mounted servo for the steering, panhard bar, and convert to 4ws. Thoughts? |

Looks good. I have just finished assembling my kit and suggest you also get the Robinson Racing idler gear #1551 and one piece lower #1555 and a set of MIP driveshafts #11116. With that power combo, you're going to need them sooner than later anyway and the gears for sure are a PITA to change later. Next stop for me is upgraded steering linkage and drag link (probably make the drag link) |

Do you already have batteries and a charger? You can check out this servo for a bit of savings: HS-5995TG Servo |

I added those gears and driveshafts to the list of things to get. Might as well do it the first time. I already have a Venom pro charger and lipo batterys. That servo looks like a pretty good deal. I might get that instead. |

Also is there a reason you are going brushless instead of brushed?

I wasn't saying there was a flaw, I'm just curious because I was thinking about that combo but decided to go brushed. If you were telling me to read the sticky then I'm way ahead of you. And by that I mean I have read your sticky. Not that I'm actually ahead of you... because I don't even have my kit yet Last edited by 2k3r1; 07-30-2012 at 10:07 PM. |
