| Vanquish VVD vs Axial Universals
Like the title says, im comparing the two and was wondering is the extra money really worth it? I'm doing a 4ws and don't wanna spend an extra 200$ for the steering internals if they will be the same either way, I won't be jumping it and I'm putting a tekin pro 4 in it as well. Please lemme know guys! Thanks |

Well I added up my axles for this project and I could make a few car payments with the money that's being paid for them lol. But what the heck I might as well get the vanquish ones it's only money right! Anyone used the vanquish ones with the hot racing unibody lockers? I wanna make sure they wil fit good thanks |

I'm running 4WS with Axial's in the front and rear and I run scale comps and TTC with it and never had a problem out of the Axial universals. Even have a spare set in my tool box just in case but have never had to use them. Vanquish produces nice products but I think there Universals are a bit overkill for me. I can buy almost 3 sets of Axials for what one set of Vanquish is going to cost me. Some people need that extra beef the Vanquish uni's provide but then again some people could break an iron brick with a plastic hammer. |

I had the small pin in one of my Axial universals become loose and literally be held in place by the c-hubs as the universal rotates... Can't trust them anymore. I now have the VP vvd's. They are expensive but will NEVER fall apart and they will most likely last for the life of the truck. Worth every penny to me. |

Axials: More steering, cheaper, weaker VP: Less steering, expensive, stronger I havent had any issues with the Axial Universals on my 4WS wraith....and I am certainly not easy on this truck. |

The VVD's are more for the people that plan on high power or want tighter tolerances. I beat on my Axial universals for a long time. I only ate up one pair but my second pair was getting sloppy. The price for the Axials is awesome, and will work well for MANY people. The Vanquish stuff is just like the rest of their stuff, above and beyond what is typically needed. However, knowing that I will be taking my truck to the TTC in Oregon, I am glad I have them installed in my truck. |

However, I would think if it did come with a warranty, they'd certainly mention that it does. I don't see anything about that on their product page...

The difference between the two is pretty clear to me: Vanquish = in stock Axial = nobody has them |

as stated before, yuo may not need them depending on the application it is intended for. For those running high end brushless systems in use for FOFF, i can see the use of a VVD CVD. I think they'd be beneficial even for super Tq motors for crawling which put serious strain on all the drivetrain but perhaps not needed? ill be grabbin a set when i can get the funds for both bling factor and strength as im goin FOFF myself, and i can see my Axial shafts taking a thrashing.

| Re: Vanquish VVD vs Axial Universals They stand behind all their products. I'm not sure that you will see a stated lifetime warranty on something like a CV style axle but I can say that if you break them and contact them I'm sure they'll take care of you. You just know people would abuse it if you just say lifetime.
