| mounting battery up front
This has probably been covered a hundred times, could someone point me in the right direction....best way to mount the battery up front?

this provides protection for electrics and a scale looking fenderwell. just installed on mine. Wraith Electronics box |

Perfect! thanks mate....here is me trying to put it front to rear! do i need to put any weight in the back if i have the lipo and speedy up front? i use it only for crawling.

Check ckrc they sell a battery forward mounting plate that will hold a batteryand all electronics. I use one and it works perfectly!

Or... You could do what I did, and hack up your stock roof and use it as your forward electronics tray. It's cheap! LOL

Had some extra sheet metal lying around so I figured I would copy the Dinky Tray and make a housing for the Battery and RX Its tucks in really well with a bit of room to spare. There is enough room for the ESC and Battery, Just not sure if I can squeeze all 3 in there. The RX is Waterproof so it doesn't need a case which is good, maybe I will just mount the esc in the stock position and then keep the rest up front. Also working on a flip up hood for easy access.. Few Pics....just need to paint them up. |
