Default Esc Question

Hey all. I've been in the hobby for about 12 years. I've been crawling for about 2. I just got my first real crawler in a Wraith. I'm setting it up for a class 3/Koh truck. I've got pretty much everything together and ready but the brain. I'm torn between two esc's. I'm hoping some of you have used both and can give some input. I'm looking at either a Tekin FX-r or a Holmes BR-XL. I'm going to waterproof whatever esc I go with. The holmes comes waterproof but only has a 1 month warenty. So its pretty much a push on warenty.

I have both esc's both are execellent. Figure if you waterproof the fxr warrenty probably gone anyway. Can't go wrong with either but the fxr is tiny so if you are tight on space that might be the way to go. Also you need a castle link to program the holmes esc.

both are good, I personally went with the FXR for the size but many in our group have the HH esc. have yet to see either fail and we play in mud and water alot.

IMHO the BR-XL is the best brushed esc you can buy. I don't think many would disagree. About the only advantage the Tekin has is the small size.. On a Wraith that shouldn't be a big deal.

Just look at what the br-xl offers... No motor limit.. 6s lipo compatible.. Strong internal BEC. Super easy programming options with the widely available Castle Link...

I own two currently.. I do also have an fx-r but only because the br-xl didn't exist when I bought it.
