Default Bronco Bodies Question

Hey guys:

Just curious which early Bronco body you all prefer for the Wraith? Also, how do you get the hood to open ( there is no obvious cut out) so I can get to the forward battery setup. Thanks for any advice. In the good old days, I would have bought them all and picked the best but with the price of these bodies now over 40 bucks and the family budget being what it is that's not an option :(

I haven't had both, but I really like my ProLine. I like how the front clip looks in comparison to the front clip on the Dynamic Concepts body. As far as quality, I believe both are on par to one another. There are several methods to get the hood to open. Really, all you have to do is cut it how you want it and build a hinge on one of the cross bars. So, as to which one to get, it's all up to your opinion of the bodies aesthetics. You could also modify other EB bronco bodies to fit, like Tamiya's. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will give the Proline the nod! Your rig looks awesome. I have been looking over your photos in the archive thread.

I just cut mine where the fenders meet the hood. As far as different. Brands. Proline was the only one that was at my lhs.

Thanks! Proline it is. Too bad they did not think thru the need to open the hood and provide flanges etc. That would just make the hood opening a little neater but, hey, this is a crawler. I hope I can cut mine as well as you did yours. Your rig looks great especially in my favorite color. Merry Christamas

I like to quote Henry Ford: "You can have it in any color you want, so long as it's black."

Make sure to pick up a good set of body scissors and a reamer. That will make a huge diff. Also, I use a dremmel on he long strait cuts. Comes out much cleaner. Take a closer look at the DC body, if memory serves, the fenders may not be attached to the hood. Can't recall for sure though...

The front end on ours is designed to be able to be opened.
- There is a hood line, in order to add Dubro hinges.
- There are pockets under the hood to add velcro so the hood stays closed.

Unfortunately, I have spent the last year working on prioritizing product development, at the expense of such things as decent marketing.

There are pics of our EB Wraith in the paint and vendor section. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Thanks to you all for your helpful hints. I think I will have to try the DC EB body too! Northenerbill, your rig with the Proline looks great; it reminds me of my old one-scale EB.
