Anyone run a Pro4 3300 on 4s? If so what gearing and how were your motor temps?

Thanks!!

I hope you plan on buying a helmet and lots of Kevlar..

I've seen a pro4 4000, in a Wraith, on 3s and it was scary to say the least..

Think about it this way.

4000 X 12.5 (3S) = 50,000 RPM (No Load)
3300 X 16.8 (4S) = 55,440 RPM (No Load) Only about a 10% increase in RPM, with a LOT more cost...

And according to the Tekin site, it says the 4000 is only rated to 2s, so 4s may equal meltdown...

Your fine, I've been running my 4000 on 3s for almost a year and I'm not easy on it. I believe BTF and those Bama boys are running 4s, get with them

I think the gearing is key to making the motor live. Im about to get it wired up this afternoon so Ill report my findings.

Ill start with 11/60 and check temps. Im running 2 5300mah packs wired for 14.8 volts for hauling ass or wired for 10,600 mah for trail duty..

14.8v? 3.52 S ??

What combination are you using to make 14.8 volts?

Not if it is LiPo....
Lipo cells are charged to 4.2 cells each.
If he is running Ni-Cad or NimH then the 7.4 still isn't right, because it would be 7.2 volts per pack...

2s packs will be about 8.4 volts
3s packs will be about 12.6 volts

It says 7.4 volts right on the battery. I have no idea how the manufacturer arrived at that number and I don't really care..

As far as that goes I doubt they will charge to exactly 5300mah either..

The max volts they charge to and the voltage they run at are two different things. As stated, rated at 3.7v/cell: 7.4v 2s, 11.1 3s, 14.8 4s
