Default using nimh/lipo ???

Just picked up a used, stock Wraith. Needed one part to complete. Should be here tomorrow. Hobby King messed up my Lipo order so i'll be using a couple Nimh's I have.

The guy I bought it from said the ESC needs to be programmed to use lipo or Nimh. And that its currently setup for Lipo.

I just read through the manual and didn't see anything about this. Do I need to do something special to this stock setup?

This is my first Crawler and I'm excited as shit to drive this ASAP. I want to cover all my bases for a smooth "first start".

About to start putting this together. Id like confirmation that I don't need to do anything to run nimh vs lipo.

Depends on certain ESC brands. Some of them automatically detect that you are using the NiMH and when you use a lipo. Other you have to press the programming button in for a few seconds and a beep normally tells you you've switch modes. While higher end ESCs you have to manually input using a program card or software or just the blinking lights on the esc to program it. What esc do you have??

Its a stock ESC. I read the above link in the manual. Appears theres no difference between the 2 batteries. I've already connected all electronics with the Nimh. Everything works now. Guy also sold me a bunk servo and some mismatched parts. Who knows what he was talking about....

Youl want to at least set the lvc so you don't ruin the lipo. I run my low voltage cut off at 3.5.

There's a ton for f adjudtments you can make with the castle link
