| can i do this ?????
ill be installing a CC BEC and i was wondering if i could do this? my receiver box is in the back of my car i have wire extenders for both my ESC and my servo to make them reach the receiver. id like to know if i could un plug my ESC and plug a Y-harness in to the wire that goes in to the receiver and then plug the BEC and the ESC (cutting the red wire) into the Y-harness and will it work the way it should? this is how it would be done |

i would say no... your esc has to send a signal.. the bec is just for power.. combining the 2 could be bad or it could do nothing.. id just run extenders on both to be safe.. |

Power wire is cut coming from the ESC. Not sure I understand the y in front of the receiver. I'm assuming you don't have enough channels to plug the power supply direct to the receiver. Power can plug into any open received plug. Is this a castle 10amp bec Castle 20amp bec has two power leads. Why not run one direct to servo with the Y and the other to batt spot on the reciever. I've browned out castles 10amp bec on 450 size helis. I'm not sure its much of an upgrade on crawler with a power hunger digital servo wedged in the rocks |

There is an article in the Wraith Article contest that covers how to wire the BEC for a servo. Check it out. Let the voting begin!!!! While you are there, check the other ones out too. |

Yes You can do this, just make sure to cut the red power lead from the esc, not the white signal lead, basically all you are doing is replacing the esc's bec with an external bec.

| Re: can i do this ????? I agree with evan03. Is the only reason you need to do this due to lack of channels on your receiver?
