Default Vanquish "no Slop" lockers

Im having an issues and need HELP... i installed the Vp lockers in my Wraith and its seems like the shafts are too short to reach the center of the locker ..which doesnt allow me to lock down the shafts with the set screws. Im using the axial universals shafts in the front and i have an Rc4wd centered pumpkin rear axles... Any thoughts would be helpful..so post away fellas... when i get home tonight im gonna try to get some new pics up also!

Well they are meant for the Axial Wraith and not an RC4WD product. You get what you get.

like i said.. its a VP front axle with Axial unversials and the Rear is from Rcwd... so does that mean i have to buy the Vp cvd's for the front... and the Rc4wd centered pumpkin axle IS MADE for the Wraith

Run them without set screws, works for me. Same issue on the Stock Uni's in the Kit Wraith wouldnt fit all the way to center and tightening the set screws bound up the axles.

Lately the quality of Vanquish parts has gone down substantially.

I was thinking the same thing.

I am seeing more machining marks in the finish.

The fit of parts is getting sloppier.

VP XR10 parts impressed me. The Wraith bits not quite as much. Still nice stuff though.

I think they are getting too into "looking good" vs bulletproof upgrades. Dont turn into Integy. lol

The only thing that isnt VP on my rigs suspension is my Rear axle... i really really wanted the centered diff.. and my links.. im running CKRC high angle links for clearance.. my steering and track bar\cms work flawless, diff covers are beast!! They can take a real beating and not a single issue with the trans housing or the front axle either. So going with their locker wasnt even second thought.. i spoke with Vanquish today and told them my issue.. they had heard of the problem with the short side not going in far enough but not the long side... so i guess in the end i just gotta buy their cvd's which were made longer to fit the locker properly ...Damn.. i just rebuilt a buddies suspension in all VP parts including the links but minus the trans..just under $540 total ..now we both gotta throw another $90 on top of that...

Wish they more of a disclaimer like " BUY OUR CVDS FOR PERFECT FIT" or just a waring of the issue ... Oh and i re did the Rear and they work fine.. they could still be a little longer but they are holding...locked solid!!.. but i got a buddy who might be able to machine me some 4340 CM or Titanium shafts for the rear just to be sure!!

i under stand that i can run it without the set screws..but thats not the point... w/o the set screws, it's not a "No slop" locker then .. and Vp should have a warning or try to get Axial to make their shafts alittle longer..but i dont see that happening either
