Question Novak system

I am looking to upgrade my wraith to a brushless system and was wondering how the Novak Timbuk2 Bl System 13.5T Wraith Edition is as far as both a crawler motor and a basher motor. Also if anyone knows how waterproof it actually is.
I use my wraith heavilly in the water (mainly used in shallow streams, sometimes being totally submerged) and brushed motors only last so long dammit.
I dont like the traxxas vellion motor either because I have been through 3 with my slash not even submerging it.

The motor is great, but the esc is crap! It will go up in smoke with no warning and ruin your day.

You would better served buying a mamba max pro and 3300 kv tekin pro4. That system is much more reliable and faster than the Novak system. It's what I run in my wraith and with 6 1/2 ounces of weight in each front tire I can still pull whellies.

Mamba max pro and the tekin pro4 is the best way to go..

Their motors are fine, their speed controls are pure crap though.

Those are all good choices but I have never put those motors in totally submerged crawling up the stream before. Im not exactly rich here.

If you run in water than brushless is not for you! Stay with a brushed motor and a castle sv3 esc. You can probably get a motor and sv3 new for just the cost of the mamba max pro.

Brushless and water?
I've read on here that people are using CorrosionX to waterproof their sensored brushless systems.

I'm going to try it with a XK3650-4400KV Turnigy sensored brushless motor. It is soaking in a cup of CorrosionX as I am posting this. I was told to take it apart and let it soak over night and then let it dry.

Not doubting anybody on here but I wanted to try it on a cheap motor before I did it to my Tekin.

Sorry to hear that. I have not had anything but good luck with them. But I can see the problems with rock crawling. So I am going to try a castle on my next build.

No need to be sorry, none of them were mine. I learned years ago to avoid novak stuff when it came to crawlers, their esc's are crap.
I have ran castle since the first mamba max came out, i have 3 of them still, all work perfectly even after getting dunked a few times.
