| getn ready for her first scale comp
reading rules to make sure the width is legal aswell as the modded boggers looks like were ago. also gota figure out how to run the winch im thinkinging if needed ill run the winch of the steering channel. since i have a winch the hand og god penality is 15 minutes if ididnt have a winch the penalty is 3 minutes. also trying to figure out where to mount the pull pall. ill be running 3s batts but will have a 4s in my pocket incase the the run turns towards foffer style climbes where i can pin the voltage and hang on. cut the shorter lugs on the boggers in half looking for alittle added sidehill bite. did do more testing today and the modded ripsaws work noticably better on the rocks but the boggers noticably better in the dirt. pretty stoked to be doing this first scale comp run winch esc taped securely under the hood Last edited by evan03; 02-23-2013 at 09:01 PM. |

test pull with winch on stering channel with y harnes i have the connector where i can easily plug the winch in. its far from ideal sine th tires turn but shuld be enough to get here moving and avoid a 15 minute penalty. Last edited by evan03; 02-23-2013 at 10:11 PM. |

Look around a little about doing a Y harness and a switch to power off the steering servo so they aren't both powered on at the same time. I've see. Someone draw up a diagram of how to do it and it seems really simple. Good luck on the first comp !

Thanks That's a sweet idea a switch to disconnect the signal wire. |

Pretty good. Winch is necessary for the comps. The wraith runs with the best of them. First course took an hour second course was bought the same. I put a 4s on for the hill climb and bombed up in a matter of minutes I'm hooked. I'm modded a servo last night going to attempt to turn it into a winch. Scale comps are awesome. There's some pics in the Idaho subforumn |

you asked how i did. i was second to last lol. 2.2 class is very small compared to the 1.9. i was competting agaisnt currie axled rear steered rigs. there were a few dnfs due to breakage. my wraith did awesome. it went off the rock cliffs and tumbled down the mtn about 50yds and held together and with all plastic axle parts other then steering. i was very gladd to finish. there were some impossible gates for any rig to get through without a winch i started reling on throttle and succefully jump through a few gaits with some impressive air time. this comp was on the mtn side. heres the diehard scale guys keep inmind i record through about gate 5 of 100. this course is mostly unpassible for about 30 gates. i was dissapointed that this was the pictures i got. this is how my wraiths looking after the comp. lost alittle more paint is all i tired to get some onboard vid but the camera wasnt running very well while flipping down the mtn. after the comp i weighted my front wheels. low ride height and flexy suspension seems good to me. the my wraith was crawling stuff that the 1.9s couldnt and stock wraiths flounderd and flipped over on. it was awesome is all i gota say Last edited by evan03; 02-26-2013 at 07:54 PM. |
