| Suspension/ride hight set up de jour (and it works)
Wraith came with 105mm losi shocks with about a 8mm lowing spacer and soft springs. and the old flip flop mod for lowing etc... -flipped up the rear shock mount so the towers point up (not sure how it was with the kit mine came second hand). -shocks in the closet to center position on ft and rear towers -lower shock mounts in stock configuration (shorter wheel base, more clearance, clears my servo better under full compression) -80wt oil -removed the lowering spacer to get back to 105mm of travel -backed out the preload ring on the shock body as far as it would go and allow as much sag as possible. -used little zip ties (until i come up with something better) as a spring retainer so under full flex the springs would stay on the bottom things. It rocks! slow and LOW and lots of traction. So far having the springs shorter then the full downward travel does not seem to be an issue. Maybe its cause I drive real slow not sure. had a 1:1 once that had springs shorter then the amount of downward travel the suspension was capable of. springs used to pop off to the side until i got these old man emu or something spring clips. basically aluminum sandwich to hold the end of the spring. any ideas for a scale solution? note: this is a crawler suspension set up. | Re: Suspension/ride hight set up de jour (and it works) I have mine at similar but slightly higher ride height, I'm not using stock shocks, but what is the lowering spacer you reference? The stock shocks have an external bumpstop.

I don't get it is that a joke? whats with the drop test? its not for jumping or anything. the 80w doesnt compress fast enough so it has a little bounce. bigger bore or thats just how it is? how does being able to drop like that without bounce aid a rock crawler? Nobody needs that much Sicky gnar gnarticulation in a wraith. Jesus the drop test was annoying as hell but funny at the same time. Pick up, drop, thud..and repeat encase you didn't see it the 1st 500 times.

Yep. No need to spend that kind of money for a very little extra gnarticulation.. All 3 tires down on the ground. Here is one with a nice tall can. Not too bad. Front tire lifts off the ground a tad but the tire is against the hood so.. |

What length are those shocks like 125mm? Can you post pictures with sag and under full compression please? [ QUOTE=Dave@threat;4210550]Yep.
