Tekin FXR 35T Combo??

So I am running stock currently and want to upgrade, I have $160 to spend on a combo.
I am running 2s lipo 87T Spur and 14T Pinion. I am looking to just crawl, so heres the question.... Would the FXR and 35T combo make for a great addition to my Wraith??

For the same price you could get a Holmes BR-XL and be much better off. No motor limit and 6s lipo capable. Best brushed esc out there and I doubt many would disagree.

Agreed. The main downfall to the fxr is with anything faster than 35t you can only run 2s. Brxl is a much better choice, unless size is an issue.

I wonder if my LHS would have a Holmes unit...the cash is burning a hole im my pocket..Aaaahhhhh !!!

I would go the Holmes route but I dont want to run faster than what the 35t motor will do. Crawling is what I am after, If I want speed Ill pony up the money for a Tekin BL system.

160 for tekkin esc and motor? i havent done much looking but the little i have a combo seems to be in the 300 plus range

I have the Holmes Brxl and tourqemaster pro 35t. Those 2 things from rpp are exactly 160 bucks plus free shipping and 10 bucks off when you spend over 150 with there online coupon. I'm running 16/84 gearing and it is awesome. With your gearing it would be even slower and more tourqe. The Holmes Brxl is programmable with the castle setup if you ever want to change setting also. That setup has crazy torque

The BRXL is the best crawling esc out there. Trust me. I wouldn't own two of them if I didn't think they were worth it. Just order one and you'll thank me.

Believe me I know the feeling. The other good thing about the BRXL is it has auto lipo capability. The Tekin you have to set it for 2s or 3s or whatever. It's annoying. I also have an FX-R and I'm telling you if the BRXL existed at the time I would have MUCH rather had another BRXL.

I have both, the Holmes BRXL in my Wraith with a Holmes Torque Master Pro 35T and in my Honcho I have an FXR with a cheap Integy 45T (came with the truck when I bought it used). Once that 45T is done I'm swapping it with a Holmes 35T. Both run on 3S and the BRXL is like having a supercharger, its almost too much.

Used tekin fxr with lrp 55T...gearing is 16/87...
The motor n esc a little bit hot...but still resonable...but why it get hot ? Nefore this the same setup but with ae-2 esc never had this problem...run 3S with CC Bec...
