| Had a package today!,,
Got my kit. Built the diff and axles up to chubs with my boy. Ordered the vanquish stage 1 kit priority so hopefully by Saturday ill have them and continue. This is my first rock crawler and so far I'm impressed with this kit. Still need to order servo, esc, and motor. Trying to stay cheaper so what's a decent esc for brushed on these? Thanks I'm excited and so is my son.

The sidewinder would be a good ESC for brushed, and they are on sale right now. Castle Creations | Garage Sale |

I'd buy the holmes hobbies speed control torquemaster. You could upgrade to a way more powerfull motor down the road. The axial speed control is good for the money also. They both can be programmed with ( castle link). Motor limits with the axial is 19 and 2 s lipo. Holmes is pretty much any sane motor on 2 to 6 s lipo. Both are brushed only. Holmes can be had with waterproof also.

| Re: Had a package today!,, youre not going to go wrong with this Tekin combo, by far the easiest ESC to program and is just as easy to program the advanced features. The motor is solid...from what i've read. I have the esc, but i use an integy 45t motor. But the combo is a great price for what you get.

I just bought and installed the Tekin FXR and 35T Crawler Combo and I love it. I have found the FXR is easily programmed and the motor has a ton of torque. It has onboard LED's that monitor the ESC's temp so you can see where you are at if its getting hot and if you need to change a setting you can do it on the fly. Be sure to read the manual all the way through to get all the settings you want to adjust done properly, before you run the truck. Its really easy to do. |
