Cool R2j link help

Installing them on my wraith right now and when I put the uppers on it makes the suspension bind and will not flex at all. Anyone have any problems with these at all? I'm have rc4wd axles but I wouldn't think that would matter. There starting to piss me off.

Well I tried to use just the r2j uppers and axial lowers and it binds and I tried r2j lowers and stock uppers and it still binds...... Looks like the r2j links are just a little bit shorter than stock..

Yes, I posted a comment about these links elsewhere. I went to install mine the other day, and they bind at every attachment point. I didn't want to clearance everything so I ordered the bent rod ends from RC4WD.

are the link ends straight. if so you gota clerance the belly pan.

i made made a set for myself, basicaly the same thing as r2 links. i adjusted lower exackly the same lenth and uppers exackly the same lenght. uppers and lowers are not the exact same lenth. not even a hint of binding with my links

i think id get the caliper out and start checing link lenghts ounce you have the belly pan clearanced

ohhh another thing i did was have to slightly clearance the link that sits underneath the motor because the revo rod ends was rubbing it. if you have pro for or other bigger motor you may need to check this

Yea these bolt right up but when I install them and try pushing down on one corner of the suspension it binds and will not go down very far.

jimmy rig or not my wraith works as good as best of them at a fraction the cost

that motor most likly isnt near big enough to cause any link intereferance

words on the subject almost mean nothing. photos and vid of this binding might be worth a million unsaid words

Ive made a few sets just like R2J's, and besides clearancing the skid like stated, had no binding at all.

Shon will get back with you, give him time, hes a great vendor.

Make sure all your rod ends are straight, not twisted unequally as well.

What I meant is that they are we're supposed to work and function as good as oem parts. If you want to make your own links then good for you. He wanted a set of wheels and tires I had for sale so I traded him for a set of upper and lower links. The r2j links have revo ends which should make no difference at all. I think the length is off which I already said before. I don't need to use a caliper to see that they are off.

Here's a pic. The r2j one is definitely shorter if that matters

Have you installed sll R2J's links at once? From your post sounds like your mixing them with other brands. Not that it should matter but Im curious.

Im assuming your shocks arent sticking or drive shafts binding, correct?

I tried all r2js at first them I tried mixing them with the axial ones and no difference. The shocks are binding when I try to flex it. The shock wants to bend when I push down on any corner. Both the front and back compress straight down no problem. And no the drive shafts are fine...
