Was wondering if anyone knows, does any one make front and rear inner fender panels out of lexan.

You could always experiment and make your own out of lexan. I have seen guys make inners out of old plastic binders and other stuff. I guess it is all in how you want it to look. I really want some Carter Fab inners but they don't fit too well with his full side panels so I have heard. I have his panels and they wrap a little into the firewall area which is better than nothing at all.

You could buy some cheap plastic storage bowls (rectangle or square) and cut out the corners to use as fender wells. I've seen it done, and it doesn't look too bad. Those type of disposable bowls (glad, ziplock, etc) have similar qualities to lexan.

Here's an example. This was a hillshire farms meat container. It's microwaveable and dishwasher safe. ;)

A little trim, and there you go.

Great ideas!! Guys just seem to zip tie them in place and it works.

Maybe yogurt containers could work too but they are white plastic.

I saw where someone went to the dollar store and bought some gunmetal cookie sheets, traced his panels, and cut them out, now he has aluminum panels that dint just perfectly.

Those were body panels not inner fenders. Cookie sheets wouldn't be my choice...lol

I suppose you could go to the dollar store and get a baking dish. Would the mud stick to the non-stick Teflon? ;) Do what-cha like.

Personally for the price of the carter fab parts I would just go with them. They are ready to bolt on and are aluminum. If you wanted you can always paint them. Or you can go out and buy the material and spend the time making your own. Kind of a wash in price to me when you figure your time going to buy the stuff and make it. Especially if your going to go buy the sandwich meat just to get the container.

The only problem with the aluminum is weight. Yeah its just a little. But all those little bits people add do add up. It moves the CG up and adds overall weight to your rig.

I used the clear plastic container that had a nail polish set in it...kinda like the same plastic that gift card boxes come with. Very thin plastic which was easy to work with. Zip tied them in.
