| looking for a motor
im looking for a motor for my wraith, I have looked at harelys thread. It helped me some but im still kinda lost on somethings. I will be driving my wraith really hard and i will be going threw mud, snow and water. Im looking to bash this wraith but also i want to be able to crawl some what too. I would like to use the new sidewinder sv3. Really i am looking for other peoples set ups and in puts. Thanks Grunt |

Personally, atleast for the days that you are mudding and water diving I'd run cheapo $10-$15 closed can motors.

Seems there's like 2 maybe 3 wraith motors recommended for the wraith . Ull let the rest chime in cause I sure don't fit in

Mud and water kills motors, so there is use in putting an expensive motor in your Wraith to ruin it. I would use a HH Trail Master Sport and call it good. Holmes Hobbies LLC Since they are really low cost, I would buy 2 or 3 of them to save some money on the shipping since you will be replacing motors that get wrecked running in the muck. I would also consider a BR-XL instead of the SV3. I have both and the BR-XL works better for me. |

Ohhhh you did. Thanks. 2100kv. Does decent but I'm sure not as good as the tekins sensored stuff. You have to to admit on this forum there's the forum way to do things. They may be the best way but there's tons of other ways that's were the very small hand full of guys like me come in. And according to this forum what does kV matter anyways? |

Get a Castle BEC and a Holmes 27T Trailmaster Sport. Run with stock ESC on 3S. Cheap, reliable, and fun. |

About the only thing I'll add is to buy 2 or 3 of those cheap motors. Since you plan on running pretty hard it would be a good idea to have a spare with you on trail day.

what about a sv3 instead of the stock esc just for the fact that its water proof out of the box?

| Re: looking for a motor The stock ESC is conformal coated, I ran mine fully submerged in water for extended periods without issue.

@ Harley what do you mean by Restock? If you are talking about the sidewinder sv3, sure makes me want to get one now! not saying im going to submerge this but i know i wont have to worry about water at all with that. I have also been having this idea of running a HH 7T revolver motor in it. What do you guys think of that combo? Edit New idea what about the traxxas titan 550 12t motor? my local hobby store carries them and i know in one of my older crawlers i had one in it and i do have a spare some where around here. I meant "the stock" and got autocorrected.
