Default Newbe Wraith Kit Build

Hey guys Im just now getting into RC crawlers this is the first one ive owned, Ive read alot on here and i just got in My Wraith. I dont have a battery or charger yet im looking for i guess you can say cheaper yet still affordable and reliable parts. Ive not even got to drive it yet. I will say it will mostly be rock crawling and be taking with me on hikes. An help would be great. Thanks everyone

Get to the local hobby shop, get yerself a 2 cell Lipo battery (or two) a decent charger's maybe 60 bucks, they'll tell you how to use it, and go nuts! And have fun!

After running a NiMH battery for a year, and making the switch to 2S and 3S all I can is wow! I should have done this from the start!

Get some good tools too. Tighten everything down now.

I'd run 2S LiPo and get a decent brushed motor and ESC that's waterproof. Even though most don't plan on driving in water, it's that time you do something dumb and dunk it that changes things.

I like the FS-GT3C radio because it's light and charges via USB.
